Permanent Estate
Darkness tells us
things will never get better
It sketches a false future
and asks us to believe
its prophecy
In the shadow of those lies
isolation whispers —
quiet, convincing —
that no one cares
that no one sees
that no one will come
Pain exaggerates truth
turning a hard moment
into a permanent estate
a place we think
we must live forever
Name the lie
Call it out
Speak aloud
what fear tries to cover
Light is not denial
Light is clarity
Bring the light
Face the pain
Let truth
be the thing
that stays
