snow snow snow

It wasn't as much at my house or on my car, and it didn't last long, but we did have snow on the car this morning, and it continues to spit snow. As I was out and about this morning gathering waterbed repair supplies (replacing the base supports) I passed this car in a parking lot. It has snow on the roof, the trunk, and the bumper. Someone around here (Montgomery county tags) got much more snow than we did.

Took these shots Saturday evening as we were preparing to drive to Lexington.

white again and finally a kyle drawing

The snow is falling. School will dismiss early. We are expecting 2 to 3 inches. No ice.

Kyle has patiently waited for his drawing. He is not the last one of the kids to be drawn. Chasity has yet to be drawn. When you have seven kids betwixt you, it does take a little time to get them all done. So .. without further ado .. KYLE ! ! !

are ya tired of it yet ?

Weatherman says we will get more snow beginning tomorrow. This is a tree in my mom's front yard. She is about 35 miles from my house. She has power, but many Kentuckians do not.
This is her street. It is untouched by city snowplows or salt trucks. She lives about 2 blocks from one of the pricier neighborhoods in her town (pop. 280,000.) The building you can see in the background is a new elementary school.
This is my great nephew, Xavier. He is a card. He is my latest attempt. Kids are so much fun to draw.

Snowing

(not what is actually out there)
It is snowing outside (as opposed to snowing inside, I guess) and it is sticking to the ground. Waahooooo! I love snow. I love Winter (as is obvious to my regular readers .. My Warm Friend.) As I said, it isn't like it is in the picture, yet, but it is coming down. I love it! Kyle is hoping for a snow day.

Hey Debbie (suburbsanity) I will get to put the big red truck in 4-wheel drive.

Of course, while I will not be going there, I am sure Kroger is packed with worry-warts making sure they have bread and milk. I am sure there will be a few that will be wishing the new section (wine and liquor) was opened already.

I am not worried, although I did finish off the last of the NUKE DIP today.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful .. but the fire is so delightful .. and since we've nowhere else to go .. let it snow, let it snow, let it snow !
