The questions linger,
drifting day-to-day—
Am I living the right life?
Is this where I am meant to stay?
I make the turns
right or wrong
the path still beckons—
Am I leading
or only following along?
Is a life living me
or am I living a life?
The current carries me
And countless others
Habit moves the masses
One step after the next—
but what moves my foot forward
in this right-or-wrong life
Maybe the answer isn’t fixed—
not a signpost, not a star
The right life is the one
I keep stepping toward
even when I’m unsure
why my foot moves at all
